Khula Youth Empowerment Organisation is a registered Nonprofit Organisation (NPO) and also a registered Nonprofit Company (NPC) functioning within the province of KwaZulu-Natal. The organisation was established by Zamokwakhe M.L. Ntuli in the year 2002 together with other youth professionals who shares diverse background and experience in community empowerment. The necessity of establishment of Khula Youth Empowerment Organisation was other means of contributing to the community needs mainly focusing on providing psychosocial support to needy communities, child headed families, gender-based violence (GBV) survivors, OVC’s and people who are infected and affected by HIV/Aids.

We are currently providing a holistic approach to Gender Based Violence and HIV/Aids Care programmes with the assistance of Solidarity Fund, PEPFAR and National Lotteries Commissions (NLC). These programmes include HIV related home care services, TB Tracing and OVC programme. We are running support groups for GBV survivors, children living with HIV/Aids, Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) and people living with HIV/Aids (PLHIV). We have beneficiaries who are participating in these programmes. We are also providing nutritious meal 3 times a week to the poorest of the poor families through our soup kitchen programme with the support from FoodForward SA.
